StopMoCo-Lab: Atlanta, GA; Welcome to the StopMoCo Lab site! We are a loosely organized group of animators in Atlanta collaborating on a stop motion / live action short film, tentatively titled “It’s a Living.” Written by Sam Carter and Evan Fowler, the overall feel of both script and design is “Tom Waits meets ‘Toy Story’ ”… and you’ll see what we mean by that as the production blog for the film evolves! The “lab” is headed by four filmmakers who have won awards in animation, directing, and/or screenwriting: Sam Carter, Evan Fowler, Al Waller, and Becky Wible Searles. Additional contributors, designers, fabricators, and animators include other Atlanta-based filmmakers and Savannah College of Art and Design students and alumni.
